Kurt Carlson has spent more than 35 years representing businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives — the work that built Carlson Dash, the Chicago-area business law firm he co-founded and continues to lead. That work taught him a great deal about institutions: how they operate, how they defend themselves when things go wrong, and how difficult it can be for an individual to hold one accountable.
Through his involvement with charitable organizations serving vulnerable populations, Kurt encountered something he could not look away from: families whose loved ones had been harmed — in nursing homes, hospitals, care facilities, workplaces, and unsafe properties — who had nowhere to turn. The legal system felt inaccessible. Attorneys who did take these cases often treated them as volume, not as the profoundly personal matters they are.
He believed there was a better model. Impact Injury Law exists because of that belief.
